Well, inspired by the prospect of a "brickwars" event here in New England, I built a first draft of a mech: (URL) still needs more weapons (and that laser arm needs some improvement) but I'm pretty happy with him overall... (...) Thanks for the suggestion. Due to the weight of the torso, which will increase, I ended up using a regular rubber band doubled on the outer ring and saran wrap on the inner ring. Travis (25 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
