  Re: Dark Gundams - Joints

Ah, very nice. I'm afraid I'm not adept enough with Technic gearing to build joints of that nature. I need some lessons. :^( ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Other Suits from Gundam Anyone???

(...) Is that a challenge? If so, my mind is regeared... I suggest that we should build some other mobile suits maybe some of the mecha from G-Gundam or Turn-A Gundam. I think a lego version of Kapool or Eagel would be cool, has anyone seen the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Dark Gundams - Joints

I uploaded some worm gear joint pictures with descriptions. (...) That's Vayeate and Maguanac corps. I think that people build Gundams instead of the other Gundam universe MS's is the fact that Gundams *are* so flashy. If you think people should build the other suits, why don't you set an example and build (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Ah, Brian Cooper: finally I have a name to put on my links page (I'd put Klaupacius Falcon on my links page as the best looking LEGO Millenium Falcon I'd seen, and noted that if you go up a parent directory, you can see tons of Gundam style (...)   Other Suits from Gundam Anyone???

Has anyone out there tried to build any of the non-Gundam mobile suits from the series such as the Leo, Taurus, Aries, Virgo, Mercurius, Vey 8, or some of the suits from the (am I spelling this right?) Moguinauk Corp. I really prefer some of those (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Not sure what you mean by boat plates. Both gundams use only various angle plates stuck together for the outer armor. Probably the only really unusual parts are the rubber hovercraft skirts used for the black Gundam's wing thrusters. As for (...) (24 years ago, 25-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Dark Gundams

(...) Thanks. The Gundams are big enough to use the Falcon as a boogie board, surfing the exoatmosphere. Both were equally fun to build. The advantage of Gundams though is that there can be infinite variations. I could build a dozen different (...) (24 years ago, 25-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I've been developing technology for building large mecha (28 inches) with technic skeletons and gear driven joints over the last couple of months after messing around with Star Wars designs.
