  Re: Mecha 02

(...) Yeah, why in the world would people actually care to see pictures of mecha in a lego mecha newsgroup? Crazy world these days. -- Andrew, Agent 0007 (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Mecha 02

(...) Nobody cares, but my two cents: It reminds me, alot, of ultima and omega weapon from Final Fantasy VIII. You don't really care do you? There, wasn't that excruciating Deven MacKellar, CO of the Lake Victoria (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Bryce Wow. This sucker is even more impressive in it's completed form--I've enjoyed seeing it in it's "work in progress" stage (as well as the "forgot the legs" stage). Nice work. -Henry (24 years ago, 15-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Thanks for your kind words, Dave. Just for the record, the Tarantula is a four-legged design. The 4th leg is hidden in each photo. - Ken (...) fantastic. (...) Keep (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I would love to see a Sandlin 4-legged mecha. This is a pretty good picture of the joint Dave was talking about a couple weeks ago. (URL) was that "throwUPbots"? ;o) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

I've been meaning to try making a 4-legged mecha using your double-throwupbots arm technique. This just gives me ideas. :^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Mecha 02

(...) Wow!!!!! Great job! There's so much detail in that beast I'll be looking at it all day! I love the use of birds as fingers - great idea. I'll miss Big Blue, but if this is what we get instead, I'm all for it! Any more close-ups hiding (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Mecha 02

Ah, so '02' or the "Dark Marauder" as the M-tron Commandos refer to it makes an appearance at last! For those who viewed the LUGOLA pics of our meeting, this was the giant mecha sans legs that I was so enamored with. I can only hope and pray that (...) Bryce, You're a genius! I Love it! Really brilliant! Such a subtext of drama... ...but what is the story as yet unknown? -- Richard (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: BrickPig has some new images

Hi Ken, I just had to mention that both the Scorpion and Tarantula are fantastic. 3-legged creationa don't pop up very often, so I'm pleased to see that one. Keep up the great work. -Dave (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: How To Big Blue

(...) Fantastic pics, as usual, Bryce! Hopefully, both our efforts will end up in creating a 'Big Blue' that has full articulation with a minimal weight problem. It will be tough, but I think we're both well on the way to doing it. I'd like to think (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  How To Big Blue

I posted some new pictures of Big Blue last night. The new pictures are close ups and parts...joints and sections. (URL) McGlone (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BrickPig has some new images

(...) I really like the scorpion. It looks like a solid killing machine...nice clean lines too. I'm not a big fan of the Star Wars guns, but those claws work very well. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Bryce (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
