  Re: Gundam GP02A

Well, Dave, once again you have created a work of art. I eagerly await HeavyArms Custom. That's one of my favorites! ~Mark (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gundam GP02A

WOW! So cool! Excellent job, David! The legs have to be some of the best I have ever seen. The torso is awesome as well. WOW! (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Gundam GP02A

Well, I decided to give up on the shoulder boosters and the huge shield and just post my latest gundam as is. It's 15.5" tall, and very stable, even more so than my Zaku (which was only 12" tall). To see the GP02A, go to (URL) You have to scroll (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

(...) Two of these... (URL) two of these... (URL) in some extra bricks for stability. The legs flop around a bit if you pick it up, but it's perfectly sturdy once you set it down on its feet. The gears on the back lower the cockpit. ~Mark (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

(...) Steering assembly parts? How does that work? I cannot tell from your photos. Also which axis does the hip turn on? (ie; does it only provide turn out?) And finally do the gears on the back turn the legs out? Bryce McGlone (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

Yeah, but I at first thought you used click-hinges, sorry. It's cool anyway! Mladen (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

I didn't use click-hinges on the hips of my Juggernaut... I used technic steering assembly parts. ~M (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

(...) Good :) (...) Nope they are not at all. But I added a long plate to the back of each foot to mak it stable. (...) If you dou, us more than on click hinge per joint. (...) --Me (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

Whoops, looks like I goofed, I think Mark's "Juggernaut" legs use Throwbot ball-sockets, but to me it looked like click-hinges... (...) Mark (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Three new mecha!

Yeah, that's how my Mirage's and Striker's legs are mounted too... Hmmm... But anyways, the first person I saw that used that click-hinge combination was Mark Sandlin in his wonderful *"Juggernaut" model, although I might be mistaken... (...) run. (...)   Re: Three new mecha!

(...) Alex, I really like the Mammoth. Great job on the click hing hip joint. It reminds me of Mladen's Mirage legs. Are those legs really that stable? I may have to use your ideas here. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that I like click (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

Thanks Jay! Yeah, definitely by limiting yourself to using specific pieces and only a couple of colours you really start thinking more about how you want to use each piece. A great example of this is in Joseph Gonzalez's alternate models at: (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

Damn, that's pretty sick Mladen (one of my totally strange compliments) Once again you've proven to be the ultimate small-multi-directional lego builder. I really like the colors on this one. But I don't undestand your problem with click-hinges. Ah (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

Thanks Pat! Regarding your question, I don't know... Maybe do what Todd Amacher wants to do (am I right Todd A.), which is to put all of his creations pictures into a portfolio and show it to TLG, but I think that chance of me doing that are *very* (...)   Re: New Mecha

Impressive as always Mladen. You are starting to amass quite a collection of mecha there. What are you going to do with all these designs? Just an open question, no need to answer. Pat J (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
