You did a really good job at bulking up those thro bot pieces! Ive been wrestling with this one for a while for various creations. I came up with a similar solution using the pins and beams you mentioned but you went way past that. I love how lanky (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
