Uh... well, really personal armour (like Terminators) is something I've wanted for minifigs ever since I was a kid watching Robotech's "Invid Invasion" series (with (...) (...) Yes, the arms are built on pins, so the weapons are really modular. I've built these in a bunch of different mission configs with different weapons. Maybe later I'll put some of them up on Brickshelf. I'd love to see some of these guys in a (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

(...) It does indeed capture a lot of the aspects of the Dreadnaught. Are the arms built on technic pin joints? That would make swapping them out really, really easy. Hmmm. More BrikWars fodder... it's getting to a point where I could field a Space (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
