Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

What an impressive suite of work. When I first saw it on Brickshelf, I immediatly submitted it to Zemi.net You can see the post here: (URL) I like the mix of new and old gray, it works nicely when done right. I see influences of Paul Hartzog, Soren, (...) (20 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Post, and it's a biggun

(...) (snip) Wow. I don't think I have ever seen such a dramatic newbie entry. That stuff rocks and I don't even LIKE mechs. Bravo. I like the color schemes, I'm a sucker for red and grey. I especially like the little flying support vehicles a lot. (...) (20 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

My First Post, and it's a biggun

This is my first post, so i'll give a little backstory: After a long hiatus (about 15 years, i stopped playing with toys around 12), I bought the rebel snowspeeder set last winter, and i've been addicted ever since. I then began collecting all the (...) (20 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX) !!

  Jasper the troll

G'day, I'd like you to meet a friend of mine. This is Jasper, the troll. (URL) Jasper is my first castle MOC, based loosely upon the trolls from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels. (The Discworld trolls were what I originally had in mind, but Jasper (...) (20 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

(...) A very nice mecha indeed! I'm glad to see you're back and building again. I have always liked your mini-mecha, but I'm glad to see that you put some nice articulation into this latest model. I can't wait to see what you come up with next! (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

What what what! C-MAD! Hey that MOC is shwwwwweeeet. The super cool legs and color scheme make me smile! ...and I see that cool detail you got goin'n on goin'on....with those red and blue trans tiles on the back shhhhhhhide. Again, shwwwweeeeet. (...)   Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

(...) Thanks Jas. I had contemplated a headpiece, a la Patlabor, but it always wound up being way too tall and necky. I like the look that high shoulders gives, so I opted for it again. And the nice thing about most of the small designs I make is (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

(...) Thanks. (...) Yeah, that's probably the biggest "innovation" this one has over anything else I've done. Serves to let the legs swivel on the vertical axis, as well as providing waist articulation. But it's so frail. 9 times out of 10, if (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

(...) Thanks David. Yes, this is a definite Gamut upgrade. I only wish I could get this poseability into something the size of the Gamut. The quest continues... -Chris (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Knight Powersuit

(...) Ahh, smack-diggity, how I've missed it so...hey man, good to be back, if even on a bit of a limited basis. Seems like a lot has changed around here, but that's for a 100+ post thread that I don't have time for. (...) So that's why those guys (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
