Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) Thank you. :) (...) I want to work with you on a new drop ship class. Game? (...) Thanks again, think about it. e (20 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) Hey that is cool, and that is what I like to hear. Not that the model was cool, but rather how it made you curious and so you looked closer to see how it made you feel and what the relations between the pieces were. Nice. (...) Thanks, that is (...)   Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) Cool, plus I always thought that a joint housing would have rounded element to look like the cover to a motor or other drive mechanisms. (...) Oh, thank you, I enjoy leaving my shell and reaching out to others. Most all my creations link to (...) (20 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) Cool, right? Plus I think it goes on as we know, more often then some may realize or may not be all that aparent, builders work together. AFoL's share ideas and drive eachother. (...) Ahh? do ya necc. think so? (...) True for the Gla hands. (...) (20 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) This is an interesting technology and great Mech -- thanks. I have a few questions for either Eric or MC7 -- I noticed that some of the joints have multiple ball joints. Does that stiffen the joint and at the same narrow movement to one axis? (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tatsumaki Ver.2

(...) effective. Six Titan XP's? You must have one of the largest collections of dark blay on the planet (not to mention orange...). I especially like the back view, particularly the backs of the legs. This is sometimes a weak area on mechs. Not (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

Great project, both of you guys. It's made me think about what possibilities might lie in builder collaboration. It might be difficult to get such good results as you got, however. (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) way. Definant improvement over prior designs. the face has just awesome personality. I'm liking the hands, those hinges can be hard to use (I think they look chunky) but it works here. cool. Proportions are very well done. When you get (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

I really like this mech Eric. When I first saw it I was able to make out your style immediately but it looked so much more "human like" and proportional that I had to study it. I agree with comments made earlier exept for the hands. I think they are (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Little Red Bot

This is a Little Bot I made using the instructions in Eric Sophie's Brickshelf Gallery. This is the second one I have made and I have to say it is a well thought out design.I had fun making it and plan to keep it around for a good while. Hope you (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Tatsumaki Ver.2

This is Tatsumaki Ver.2 This is a remake of the original using parts from 6 Titan XP sets that I have. I think this remake is by far better than the original. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Marcus Clancy Brickshelf Gallery (URL) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

Hi Eric, this looks different and very familiar. I like it very much. When I first examined the pictures I couldn't see what made me feel that familiar (despite the head). Reading Mark's reply an then looking at the pictures once more I realised it. (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

Hey Eric, Rad! It's cool to see two builder's styles come together and produce a hybrid that still contains the flavors of both. Bravo! I like the fact that Ryetsumaki's skin is totally you, Eric, but the proportions of Marcus' frame pushed you in a (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) Hey cool,I like that. Thanks. (...) I really try not to copy themes but rather just build with the shapes I like to use. Look at it like this. I was sent a frame, I built a mech. Where my head is really at is this: I want to make a fully (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) :) (...) Thanks, I have some green tile wall thingies in trans green, but everything I did made it look bulky, so I left it as is in that case. Still needs something heh? (...) I was thinking of changing them to Grey like the body color. (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) My first impression was "ugh, Sophie managed to take a new and cool frame, totally different than his traditional stuff, and make it look just like everything else he built..." But, then I read Mark Neumann's reply, which called attention to (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

(...) Aww hey that is great. It was fun and such a releif to be honest that I didn't have to scratch engineer my own joints. The skip ahead and build factor was much apreciated. Unussual feeling at that, thank you. Glad you like the result. I am (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

wow, wow, wow. OK, big props to Marcus for supplying the frame and the inspiration. Eric, this is an awesome build, especially for an all nighter. It's just a shame that there aren't parts to match to close up a few holes. Like a trans green plate (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
