  Re: Phantasm

I purposely waited until I could see this one in person to comment on it. Jeff, be it brick or technic parts, you do a bang up job! This model is no different in complexity of design other than the limited parts at your disposal. Congrats on (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Blame Percy. He's the bad one. (...) My goodness, Snow Daddy-o! This is a truly spiffy mech! Lots o' style all over the place on this one. The engines are my favorite part, by far.   Re: Hello All !!!

What an excellent way to enter the world of Lego Mecha. :) Personally, I like this model you made the most: (URL) , but that's just more in tune with how I view mecha. Gla Gla's armature is an excellent starting point based upon readily available (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ryoichi Takagaki's latest works on brickshelf

The sheer amount of detail Ryoichi has managed to pack into this model is incredible! Looking at the thumbnail pics, I expected this to be a much larger model given the detailing I saw...Absolutely amazing! -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Women and Eric?

lol! Even better, I just recognized one of those women as the person responsible for yanking me out of my Dark Ages all those many years ago...funny how small our AFOL world really is. -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Ryoichi Takagaki's latest works on brickshelf

  Re: First mech

(...) Thanks, Derek! (...) I'm afraid the Star Shuttle is no more :( (...) Thanks again, D. That was exactly my approach in building this thing.   Re: First mech

(...) My favorite thing about this mech is that it's "Jassim Style"--which is a good thing, by the way! Seriously, the distinctive look of this mech is awesome; If someone showed me a picture of it and asked me who made it (uh, before I knew who (...) (21 years ago, 11-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

My obligatory NWBC post - too much fun for just one weekend

Hey all, I finally had some alone quiet time to do the picture thing. My images of all of NWBC, as well as a bit of our (Eric Sophie and me) roadtrip, are now online.   Re: Classic Wars: The Battle Between Good and Shpleem

(...) Good fun! Like Tim said, the timing is a little off 'cause it changes frames just after all the text visualize on some of them. A word of warning for non-broadband users; The file is ~25.2MB! (zipping it it became 24.8MB). (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Classic Wars: The Battle Between Good and Shpleem

(...) Well played. Very funny! :-) A small bit of feedback on the slide show - it went a little too fast to read the captions and see all that was going on in the image. Perhaps slow it down a couple seconds? -Tim (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Classic Wars: The Battle Between Good and Shpleem
