Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle D. Jackson
G'day folks, Well, it's still 30 November in my time zone (EST) so I hope I'm not too late. Here is my second and last contest entry, an Interceptor: (URL) only 85 pieces plus minifig, so it's in no-mans-land between Categories 2 and 3. I'd like to (...)         Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) (Following up my own message here.) This one might be too big for a Cat2 ship too. Is someone going to make judgement calls to move models into more appropriate categories? Thanx, KDJ ___...___ Kyle D. Jackson, LUGNETer #203, Windsor, Ontario, (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Todd Lehman
(...) Boy, that's a close call. Being about the same size as 918 Space Transport, which is also 85 pieces, it could probably go either way. You've got 2 big engines, though, and a wide cockpit -- I'd kinda lean toward "Medium Ships" rather than (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) G'day Todd, Sounds okay to me. I've got a fair number of 1x2/3/4 plates in there which pushed the piece count up, but I didn't feel like making a juniorized set :] As long as it gets to go somewhere I'm happy. Thanx, KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Tony Hafner
(...) I assume that one of the pieces is the blue 33 degree 3x6 slope. I'm currently working on it, but I don't expect it to be done terribly soon. You can use my mockup, though. The only problem with the mockup is that the logo is far too small (I (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) G'day Tony, Yeah, that was one of them, the most conspicuous. Also I couldn't find a classic space helmet, and the 1x4 grey bricks with dials on it from the cockpit of the 918. For the latter I used the one with the black vertical stripes on (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Jonathan Wilson
(...) Try "brick 1 x 4 with homemaker stove switch pattern" thats what you are looking for I believe. (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Thanx Jonathan (and Tony), that's exactly the piece I was looking for. It didn't take me long to learn that the piece categorization in Ldraw is a little confusing, since many of the pieces are sorted by use context and not by physical (...)         Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle Keppler
Cool! I really like the overhead profile too. It gives you this sence of speed and great menuverability(sp?)... </Kyle> -- AIM: legomankyle or KyleKeppler ___...___ (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Contest Entries —Kyle D. Jackson
G'day Folks, With the deadline extension, I went back and added an alternate to one of my submissions that didn't have one. This is to make it official. The page is updated at the same address, so no contest site updates needed. It's about 21:50 (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)
