So tonight I pulled out my big box of LEGO from my wee days.
Most of my collection was classic space, and I probably
have about 50% of the sets from '78 to '83 say. So I
figured I should have no problem coming up with some
entries that are made entirely from original classic
space LEGO.
I sat down to wash the pieces as they've been in a basement
for the past 10-15 years or so, and are pretty filthy. As
I was sorting to wash them by colour, I noticed that I
didn't seem to have very many grey pieces. Odd since
most of it should be early classic space. So I counted
the wings. I have 2. WHAT THE?!?!?
It seems I am missing almost all of my grey pieces! I
must have missed them in my parents' basement somehow
when I picked up the LEGO last Xmas. And the real
problem is they're an 18 hour drive away. Nuts!!
The only thing I have complete here with me is a Galaxy
Explorer. Hehe, maybe I'll just build a ton of models
with that set (it's big enough!) and submit the original
as an alternate. It's either that or CAD...
