The Contest is Now Closed to Further Entries

All entries posted to Lugnet prior to this message will be accepted, unless
there is a firestorm of disapproval from others.  I think such a decision
will give some an extra 60 minutes or so, which is no big deal depending on
how one posts.  I know that some ISPs delay email and such...

Anyway, I just wanted to thank ALL the participants for their wonderful
efforts.  I think y'all proved that Ice Planet 2002 is NOT the least of the
many space themes.

Hopefully, between Commander Curt and I we can get the precise number of
entries tallied and added to the official contest site VERY soon.  Shortly
thereafter, we shall organize the ballots for voting and get down to brass
tacks.

As per the rules:
"Voting is limited to only those who enter the contest. Failure to vote
disqualifies a participant's entries from winning (see below for how and
when to vote)."

Please remember that failure to vote means you are out -- so it's not
completely over yet.  DO keep an eye out for those ballots.  Ballot
distribution will also be announced here, so if you don't get the ballot you
will have the opportunity to ask for one.

Please also note that The Ice Worm is not voting -- he is merely the
impartial judge for the contest.  You will win or lose based on the opinions
of your peers -- well, that and one quirky little rule explained below.

The rules also state:
"Each competitor will vote for one MOC in each category regardless of the
number of entries he/she has. And no, you can't vote for yourself."

You read that correctly -- you must vote for one model in each category and
you can't vote for yourself!  That means you HAVE TO VOTE AGAINST YOURSELF
in the categories for which you are competing. Fun, eh?

There was misunderstanding about that last point during the previous contest
so I wanted to get an early start on the question this time.
