  Re: Midnight MOCkery Contest

Hello, here is my entry for the Midnight Mockery Contest, a skeletton's carriage and the ruin of an inn. (URL) would be happy to see this soon on Sarah's page, Kind Regards, René (25 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Midnight MOCkery

(...) Sarah, I'm in the same boat...haven't had much time to build while working on BricksWest and with the arrival of the new baby...heck, I even built an entry for the space Hoverthingy contest (sems like ages ago), but didn't find the time to (...)   Re: Midnight MOCkery

(...) It may also have something to do with the sheer number of contests going on at the moment....Yours may have gotten lost in the shuffle. I'll try to crank something out for it soon. -Dave (25 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Midnight MOCkery

Perhaps it is my fault for not knowing the correct way to promote a contest, but I have to say I was expecting more entries... If I get ten more entries I will add in an OVER ALL winner and the prize for that will be Hagrid's Hut, that is in (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.contests) !!

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight...

(...) See the official rules for the official answer. If they're not clear it's partly my fault since I helped translate them. Unofficially: There are a number of categories. Each category has 3 judges. Each judge is a judge of only one category, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight...

(...) So who judges the entries made by the judges? Just curious. (25 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight... /First entry

(...) I bet it did. Lots of staging to get all those progress shots. LOVE the prototype photo for comparision. It highlights that you really NAILED the look, even under selective compression. All the details and shapes are in place to get a viewer (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight... /First entry

(...) Ben, Wow, that's a remarkable building, and seeing the construction/rehabilation in progress makes it even more interesting. You've set a high mark for a winning entry. George (25 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight... /First entry

(...) [snip] (...) Thanks René, for putting my first entry online that fast! My rural grain silo can now be found here: (URL) I'm one of the judges from the jury I had 10 times more to prepare my model (and it took lots of time...) Leg Godt!   Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight...

(...) In German it says "Konstruktive Umsetztung". I would have translated it as "constructive transformation" [of a given shape in reality into a Lego shape]. I think this is the James-Mathis-point in the contest: use of SNOT and other building (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)
