I built this a few years ago, but I don't think I ever announced it at the time.
It's a Scots Baronial mansion house, based on the buildings of 19th century
Edinburgh architect David Bryce.  It's not modelled on any single house - he'd
never have had the main rooms on the same façade as the entrance! - but all the
features, and the massing of the whole, are taken directly from his work, much
of which has been demolished.

You can see a photo of it here:

full gallery here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=237777 when
moderated.

A couple of Bryce houses, to give a contrast:

I've given it an interior, although it's not furnished yet.  You can see one
poor photograph of a room here:

The rooms (on the main floor at least) have simple cornicing, picture rails and
skirting boards.

More pictures to follow when I get chance.  Let me know what you think.

I particularly like the modernization in (URL) this pic> although the rest are nice as well! God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 6-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
