i too was fortunate to experience my first lego/train show at railfair 27 held in ottawa this past weekend - an experience that needs to be repeated more than once a year. the group worked well together, orchestrating the layout with smooth precision, especially with janey’s detailed amusement park, the trains running on time, the cows(which have to be seen to be “herd”) & the squished brownies. what a way to show your appreciation for home baking!

no large canadian town is without “the brique” - quality furniture since the dawn of lego.

Ouch on the pun, and kudos on the furniture!!!

I know for a fact there are some ideas I will be stealing.... umm borrowing in some of my future interiors. You have a way with pieces Deborah.

BUT can we talk a minute about SCALE.... go big or stay home maybe can be the name of “OUR” section of the layout when the SMACK talkers kick us out!!! It was a pleasure meeting you and a thrill seeing your architecture and interior details up close. I have always enjoyed your work, and I am looking forward to your next MOC.

Janey “Red Brick”

right back at you! it was great to have another ally in the fight for scale & the need for a bigger town section - not to say that trains don’t have their rightful place in a train show (actually, i’ll have to admit the trains were cool.)

the mutual admiration society continues. your work was awesome & really made the show. the looks on the kids’ faces say it all. that’s what lego is all about. i’ll be looking for more news on brickton & hope that you’ll make it here sooner than the next railfair.

(...) Hmm... Pun? I guess I missed it.. Or is this another Canadian thing? :) (URL) Dining Set> reminds me of IKEA (Swedish warehousy-type furniture stores here in the US).
