As always, I am amazed at the innovative uses of parts that others manage to
come up with. I have always regarded that part as a very specialised part, and
would not have even considered it unless I was actually building a trapdoor.

To be honest, neither would have I, had I not purchased a bunch of Oasis
Ambushes and not had a pile of them in front of me to just mess around with.
The whole tan building was designed around that serendipitous experience.  And
the funny part is, I bought all of those sets to get the 2x2x3 blue roof slopes
for a totally different project I had been working on (my chateau):
