I have looked for these as well, and similarly have looked up (or tried to)
specific individual buildings (like the Transamerica building -
http://www.hooked.net/~coallier/legotab.htm).

Here's some sites I found along the way, and just now by looking:
http://www.GreatBuildings.com/gbc.html
http://www.archeire.com/archdublin/index.html
http://www.si.edu/organiza/offices/oahp/start.htm
http://www.library.pitt.edu/subjects/arts/arthistory/index.html
http://library.thinkquest.org/18778/index.html
http://www.christusrex.org/www1/citta/0-Citta.html
http://www.ionet.net/~usarch/WTB-Services/Architecture/WTB-Architecture.shtml
  (look under the Exhibis heading)
http://www.arch.usyd.edu.au/~mash2958/history.html
http://www.louisville.edu/library/research/art/ext.html#Architecture
http://www.accd.edu/sac/lrc/librns/tina/art.htm#architecture
http://www.groupweb.com/art/arch.htm

That's it for now...some of the links that are actually lists to more links
have some duplicates, and many of the pictures are a little small, but there's
lots of different information about different types of architecture.

Happy building....

Does anyone know of any good architectural history resources on-line? I'm specifically looking for the equivalent of an art history text focusing on architecture, but with lots of pictorial examples. So far, I've been using a combination of (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.arch)
