Status of the church...

Construction was completed Jan 8. I'm currently photographing it whenever I
have a sunny day that happens to land on a weekend. I need sunshine because
photography is otherwise problematic with such a large model in a small room. I
don't have enough lights and I can't get them far enough from the church. I'm
going to work on this for as long as it takes to get good pictures. I already
have good pictures of the interior facing the chancel and of the organ, and
these were the toughest shots. I anticipate I'll have the photography done in
February.

If you've submitted minifigs for the dedication service and you're expecting
them back, I should be able to return them in February. Thanks to everyone who
sent minifigs or descriptions. The guests are seated in the first four rows.

The Campanile...

As you might already know, the kitty in many of the construction photos died
recently, and I've dedicated the project to her. It'll be very difficult to
tear this thing apart, and the dedication has ensured the church's survival at
least through the summer, but I've thought of a way to save a piece of it for a
long time to come. I hadn't intended to build a campanile (detatched bell
tower), but now I will, and I'll keep it assembled for the foreseeable future.
It'll probably end up in a plexiglass case with some of the construction
photos. I'm working on design ideas now...
