For the past 6 months, I have avoided this newsgroup ( lugnet.build.arch ) ,
on the basis that building things with arches was a bit restrictive, and
anyway, I don't have enough arches to do anything interesting.

But now, I see that "arch" is short for "architecture".  Ooops!   I hope
nobody finds out my mistake!

I now hope to build some "proper" Lego buidlings - not the squat buildings
of my youth, but the more realistic Minifig scale buildings that I have
seen.  For example, John Neal's feature-laden stuff mordern buildings <

Elsewhere, I liked the interesting <

However, I really don't have the bricks to complete something as large as
that.  Which I why I am looking to find some pictures of the Dutch Lego
buildings (perhaps as part of a rail layout) I once saw.

They appealed because they were tall and narrow, so I only would need a few
of each colour arch or window to complete the building.  Trouble is, I can't
find them!  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If I can't find those pictures, I may well be forced to use My Own
Imagination . . . no bad thing, I know, but I find other people's creations
rather inspirational!

These may be what you are looking for: (URL) Dorst also has his own (Dutch) home put into Lego: (URL) luck with your designs! I'm basically in the same boat as you.... realistic details with a reasonable amount of bricks. I have about 4 buildings of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.arch)
