Hi Folks, Good to see such discussion, but.....can ths please be taken out of .space and FUT to build.arch as a few others have already suggested? Yep-- and one of the biggest problems was the fact that the paper, although made by Lego, didn't QUITE line up with the studs at the lengths we were dealing with, because supposedly it gets stretched in the printing process. Hi all, As someone who has never participated in a large group build I'm very curious as to how this works.. Could you answer a few questions? I see the buildings are arranged on large gridded paper, and each team has several reference photographs. (...) Here are some more pictures of the Phase I building session that took place this past weekend. These pictures represent progress up until 1pm on Sunday as I had to leave and missed the rest of the Sunday build session. When I left 2 structures were (...) I just wanted to say that I had an absolute blast on Saturday - one of the best outings I've had as a member of NELUG. Despite having to rebuild my one section repeatedly (thus creating "The Gash"[1]), we probably could have completed our building (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains) !

The pictures aren't clear but these lattice windows... (URL) actually attached to the wall they're in. They just slide in some tracks. In fact, the top third of the window isn't attached to the bottom 2/3. Amy (20 years ago, 16-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch)

snip Very interesting. I am working on somthing like this myself, and got an amazing result using something like that - fences, and head light holders. For me that seems to be the best solution. this saturday & sunday, oct 16, 17, parlugment participates in its second local train show. (URL) building all summer & into the fall, i've completed some mocs for the show. among them are an 18-hole mini-putt golf course, inspired by my 12-yr-old (...) (...) Very nice. It reminds me of a local ice cream shop that's also in an older building. It's a Graters here in Cincinnati, OH. Everyone who's lived in the Cincinnati area knows about Graters. Using the lattice windows for church buildings often gave me the feeling of coming up with too small or too low windows. Looking for solutins I came up with three variations. I. Lynn, my wife, is calling that color Fench vanilla, which is just too apropriate for the ice cream shop. : ) I was looking at the pictures yesterday, when she came in the (...)
