Re: For building India, a review

(...) But there is only one book so far. Yet don't worry, I am preparing lots of mini book reviews for the 'ancient theme' file. -Erik (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

(...) Yes, it is sad to reply to one's own 'reply' but I am now realising the source of Banker's books. Of course he has written a series - he is retelling an epic! Yep, I think this summer's reading is sown up. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: For building India, a review

Hi Erik Thanks for the tip - Banker's book(s) look like fun. A change of setting might draw me back into the fantasy genre. I can see from amazon that he has written quite a few in the Ramayana series. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  For building India, a review

I've opened up a lot of Adventurers India sets, even built some, but I never considered this much of an area for building until just recently. First of all there is K.K. Quah's excellent Taj mahal. See (URL) have just an idea, actually a source of (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Pyramids!

Hello Erik, thanks for your compliments and annotations. I surely would like to have some more tan slopes ;-) And in using them I discovered that you don't really need the tan bricks to build the original Pyramid, so that does give some perspective (...) My Own Castle Competition. We are hereby happy to announce the official castle-building competition for the Castle Room at BrickFest 2004.   Re: Brickfest Micro Moc Display and Contest

(...) Excellent Erik, nice work on both scales. Looking forward to seeing those micro-scaled creations at BrickFest. Janey "Red Brick" (URL) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brickfest Micro Moc Display and Contest

Very impressive! I love how you've captured the topography there. However, the scale is soo small that it's tough to build buildings with. I think I prefer your scale in the Ostia MOC. Good luck with these endeavours! Eric DeGiuli "Erik Olson" (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Pyramids!

(...) (Not that size matters.) I bet you wish there were more tan slopes in the world. I like the bits of color and decoration inside. (Neat how Tecwolf's structural supports provide the color dots.) Your columns in the chamber are sweet. So, this (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)
