  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) Maelee and I are sad you couldn't attend as well, perhaps next year. Thanks for your encouraging words. This project took alot of time this year, but when it finally came together and was sitting on the table at Brickfest, it made it all worth (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

Jim, You did an excellent job on this citadel. It has the combination fortress/ceremonial/beauty that ancient buildings should have. I love the shape of the citadel, the diamond. I love the stairs coming off, and the diagonal corners, it's a fresh (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) Jim, This is a great citadel. I don't recall seeing many diamond shaped ones, it works very well. I like all the black trim you've added, it gives it an eerie, foreign kind of look. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) top folder: (URL) looks awesome! It's so huge! Really amazing, man. I love the details: The water coming from the fountains (fiber optics?)... All the water ways in the place... The colorful gardens... The way you accent areas with dark (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

Hi gang, I would like to announce the first public showing of our latest creation at BrickFest 2003, the Citadel of Kel-Nuroc. This Moc began soon after BrickFest 2002 thanks to the ideas/comments made by attendees. Countless hours was spent (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient) !!

  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) Thanks! The textiles were definitely challenging-- I just meant they aren't closely based on "authentic" models. The trickiest part of the rider was doing the trim on the dress with only two 1x2 orange grilles and a bunch of 1x4 orange plates. (...)   Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) I just read a book about it, otherwise I'd be like your average american on that issue. Maybe not, but close :) (...) It's you who have them standing there holding those gigantic keys, not me! Still, I'll make sure not to spill any on your (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

(...) ... (...) I can totaly understand that, it's also good to see. Desert can only be done in so many ways... (...) If anyone could master that, it's you. (...) He's just that kind of guy I suppose :) (...) That's not an issue at all over here, no (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) What bachelor among us has never found himself facing the pizza vs. xxx priority dilemma? (...) Thanks, it's fun to work on such modern domestic scenes after having the Israelites wandering the ancient wilderness for so long. (...) If only I (...)   Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) Well, I'm glad someone got my reference to 17th century Swedish bestiality / witch hunt trials. (...) Thanks! (...) Hey, you keep your acid away from my LEGO people. @8^0 -Rev. Smith (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) Sexual Discharges Lv 15:16 - Nice touch with the uneaten pizza, very bachelor like. "Hmm, should I eat this pizza? Nah! I think I'll just xxx a bit first." The couch and lamp is also very well done, as is the plant! Lv 15:16 - Nice bathtub, (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) I just wanted to let you guys know that in the witch-hunting days around 1650-1700 in Sweden there is atleast one documented case of Bear bestaility. The accused walked free thanks to the unlikliness of the whole thing. As did men who were (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) You mean the lady on top was not as challenging as the camel? She is just amazing all covered in tiny plates. (Having seen some of your other sculptures I recall you are pretty good at that.)   Re: Casper is at it again...

(...) Ho now Keith, don't be to happy about this folder. This is a humbling experience for me to be praised for some structures that are, as the folder is titled, just under construction :-) I'm not even sure if some of these structures ever will (...)   Re: Casper is at it again...

(...) Oh boy.. making the brick do new tricks! Actually the fuzzy image makes it easier to enjoy the whole structure without wondering how many bricks the details are. (21 years ago, 4-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Casper is at it again...

Check this out... its a humbling experience. Casper has got to be one of the greatest builders out there. Here is the most recent evidence of his skill: (URL) His photography still blows, but hey, it proves that he's human. (21 years ago, 4-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Medieval Japanese Fishing Village

Re: Motion to expand charter of lugnet.build.ancient

I would like to second Erik's motion. I think this area needs to be broader to allow for the MOCs that don't quite fit in any current category. - Jim F. PS. Thanks Erik for the compliment and using my temple as an example :) Hopefully you will enjoy (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

In and around that bridge crossing is the coolest! The shore lines with the landscape effect - TOO COOL! Dig the cool collection of parts to compliment the theme. Very nice.
