Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

(...) A couple of bugs... On (URL) image doesn't work. Also the "Next" button at the top of (URL) to the same page; the one at the bottom of the page is fine. --Bill. (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

(...) Wow ... some great stuff here. I particularly love the cloud (and lightning) and the golden calf. The maxifig hands for ears was a brilliant stroke. And the tablets too. Great stuff. Only thing is, and I've noticed this before, is that's a (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Rev. Smith, First things first: errors, in the Golden Calf story you misspelled Yahweh or Moses saying "Intetntions." Also the last picture or 2nd to last doesn't come up. the story Yahweh relents comes up as a broken link. Wow! this stuff is going (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Danish Brick Testament-esque nativity story

A small update: Today, there is an article in the Danish newspaper 'Berlingske Tidende' about the 'Danish version' of the Brick Testament (in Danish only): (URL) Brick Testament is also mentioned.   Re: ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

(...) Hi Erik, Thanks for your comments When I designed the stairs, I had a few problems since I really needed that the slops on the side will flow with it. The main idea was to try making it as accurate as I could to the originals, though those (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.cad)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

(...) Thanks. @8^) (...) What did you have in mind for the carousing to "go further"? (...) Yeah, to get a good cloud shape I needed a way to get studs facing all four directions, so the rows of interconnected headlight pieces was my best solution. (...)   Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

(...) We're all hoping Brickshelf will soon be back to full health. (...) Thanks, I was pleased with how those look. (...) Suspending the God cloud was tricky.   Re: ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

Hey Yaron, thanks, this is the first Ancient Americas MOC I recall in awhile. Somehow studs look good on Mayan pyramids, maybe because I'm prepared to see them somewhat "greebly". The few smooth slopes you use make a nice counterpoint. The greenery (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.cad)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Golden Calf highlights: I really like how the calf changes from the first to the second picture as Aaron wasn't finished carving it yet. Nice detail. The design of the calf itself is good. As with your previous cows, the SNOT work lets you use those (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Hey Brendan, I've only had a chance to go through the first story, The Ten Commandments. Pages are loading almost unbearably slowly, so it took a while. I really like the mountains in the distance in that first picture. I might copy that design when (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

Hi everybody, Just wanted to interest you all, with the MOC I constructed (well not built due to lack of parts).   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

(...) Thanks, John. (...) @8^) As you might guess, that one was pretty brutal in the sheer number of manhours it took to construct. (...) Of course I don't mind. That's very flattering.   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Great work as always! I especially loved the plague of darkness. That one was a classic!   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Rev. Brendan, Wow, I am so impressed. I have been collecting Lego for some time now and have worried that I have been to materialistic in my collecting.   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Brendan, Great work as always. Some comments: Egyptians Plundered: Hey, the Egyptians gave them their lightsabers! That'll come in handy when the Israelites want to fight off the Amelikites or the Cannanites or the Sith-ites. Egyptians Drowned: I (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)
