Re: The Brick Testament - Solomon Gets Wise

(...) Heh. Well, not a conscious homage, but I do remember that that video was played about twice an hour on MTV back when I watched a lot of MTV, so it is likely seared in my subconscious mind. Now if my next set of stories contains a LEGO Axl Rose (...) (16 years ago, 27-Apr-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

(...) Nice. :) Of course, I'm updating with 9 new stories today, so there goes your hard-fought progress. (...) I'd guess it's actually just two instances of one new piece you don't recognize. That throne is built around the odd piece I used as the (...) (16 years ago, 26-Apr-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Hey Brendan, Trying to get caught up. Eye gouger - Interesting throne for Hanun; there are some pieces I don't recognize there. The shaved beards work well (brasso or photoshop?). Aramaens - Some good action shots as always. My favorite image here (...) (16 years ago, 17-Apr-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David's Psalm of Victory

(...) Hi, Kyle. Thanks! Glad there's still reason to get excited about The Brick Testament six years into the project. I mean, I'm always still excited about it, but it's nice to know some others are too. (...) ...or utter lack of mercy, I suppose. (...) (16 years ago, 1-Apr-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David's Psalm of Victory

(...) Hey, just nice to hear from you as always, Bruce. (...) I couldn't resist the imagery of this one, and it was certainly fun to visualize it in LEGO.   Re: The Brick Testament - David's Psalm of Victory

Yay! I know, I'm way behind in commenting; I'll get there. I just wanted to celebrate that you've finally taken on a Psalm. I really like how you illustrate some of the more abstract scenes (like the line about the snares of Sheol) as opposed to (...) (16 years ago, 27-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Lego Bible Study

Lego Bible Study went well. Though folks were very eager to learn more about our construction clubs, I managed to keep us focused on the textual deconstruction at hand.
