handy uses

I'm frustrated by minifig hands not fitting into the rest of the LEGO
system. I have only found one place, other than minifig 'wrists', that
accepts the little hand stem. That being the hip joint inside the
minifig leg when it's removed.

I'd love to put all my extra 'hook hands' to work somehow. Anyone know
of other places there's a hole of matching diameter?

(...) How about inside the inner diameter of the technic flexible rod/straws (as seen in every podracer)? If they're not quite right, I imagine they're close enough that a non-purist application of a spot of gum or something similar might work. But (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)
