Right now it is green overall with the underside of the wings and fuselage

At this point lego doesn't make a camo-green colour or a light olive drab,
so making the spitfire in all green is about as close as I figure I can get.

G'day Geordan,

You might be interested in trying the "verdigris" light green used
in the Statue of Liberty set for the underside.  Mind you that
could be expensive, and I don't know what pieces are available.
I can't recall specifically seeing Spits with that light green
underneath, but many other planes did.  At the very least, this
light green would be perfect for internal structure details (such
as landing gear wheel wells) for aluminum-structured planes.

On top, you could also try a brown/tan if you wanted to try a
desert variant..., although that may be fictitious for a Spit.
I think the brown/green top would look good with a grey and/or
verdigris bottom.  Brown/dark grey could also work on top,
as well as green/grey.

KDJ

P.S., did you make an annoucement about this before?  This was
the first I'd heard of your kit so I was a little confused
initially what you were doing...

(...) Thanks for the help! I had not yet considered verdigris green yet. Hmmmm it should work, I'll see. (...) Yeah I considered the tan/brown combo, but that would be suiting more for a mescherschmidt (sp?) or maybe a p-40/p-47. (...) Imitation (...)
