Many moons ago I built some v8's using the fiber optics - only not as detailed
as yours. The better of my designs can be found in a very poor photo at;

Being in the UK where v8's are a bit thin on the ground I had very little to
refer to for design, so I do not know how realistic they are with the ignition
comming from the end of the block.
Other design differences of note are my exhaust system being composed mainly of
pneumatics with 4-into-1 collectors, mine come with attached radiator, and the
rather large manifolds below the superchargers - oh, and mine are motorised,
hence the huge manifold aka 9v motor(s).
