An innocent guard stands guard at the clock tower, a sharp halberd in his
hand. Beneath him is a mighty treasure in the tower's prison. Tic, Tic, Tic,
BEEP-BEEP! The clock strikes Ten AM. The guard knows what is coming. The hand
of doom rises over the tower, than comes down apon the guard. The tower
crumbles beneath the hand's fingertips. The towers remains fall to the ground,
and the hand points a single, evil fingertip at the treasure a jail once stood
apon... Then my hand hits the alarm button, and I roll over and go back to
sleep.

MY MISSION TO ANYONE WHO WILL ACCEPT: TELL ME HOW TO BUILD A SMALL, SIMPLE
THING ON THE ALARM BUTTON THAT WILL KEEP ME OUT.

In the first paragraph you heard one of my attempts (from this lego figure
on top's point of view ;D ). Every night lately I build a 4 by 6 stud Alcatraz
on top of my lego clock. At 10 every morning I crush it, turn the alarm off,
and go back to sleep. I need something so challenging to take apart that I
won't be tired when I'm done. Some of my friends may need the same advice to
help get up erlier too. Reply with ideas, pictures, anything that will help.
The main thing that keeps me from building one of those "Impossible To Take
Apart Cubes" around it is the fact that the clock face sticks out about half a
stud, blocking beams. I won't give an award to anyone that can complete this
mission, but you could be knowen as the person that got Nick up before 12
during summer.

Thanks ahead of time,

NICK

PS: This is also posted to .castle because the first paragraph is so cool.

Get on of those small, unjuniorized sets that is really complicated. You can put it together instead of crushing, which might work better. Or you could build a robot and have it shoot you or roll over you. When you wake up you could put it back (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jul-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)
