| | (...) Getting back to the original subject, I know this has come up before and I believe the consensus was you want to use clean bricks, well rinsed. New bricks have mold release, a sort of oil. | | | | (...) I think it's more of a wax. It's why new bricks don't stay together very well. But if you give them a thorough washing they become less slippery and stick together better.
