I just finished a new model last night.  I't took only 2 days to build (not • the
whole days, I work you know ;)  Anyway, I think it is my best yet.  It inloved
a lot of non-standard building with lots of angles and flipping the studs-up
directions.  I called it the 2K-CA (this name sucks, so if you have a better
one tell me!

I like it! To me, it looks sort of like an insect, a kind of beetle.

For names, unless I have a very specific design in mind, I almost always build
first and name later. For sleek ships, I use letters and numbers that go well
together, are easy to say together, or maybe the shape of the vessel looks
like a letter. For more bulky stuff, I use letters & numbers that sound very
"utilitarian". Because of this, the name I pick often has nothing whatsoever
to do with what the model can do/is supposedly known for, but I don't care.

How about FC-415 (four-fifteen)? Try and figure out which method(s) above I
used ;-)

For whatever reason(s) it was named, one of the best IRL letter/number combos
was the SR-71. That craft looked like it's name.

Thanks, I like the sound of the name you suggest! I also think the SR-71 was a very appropriate name for the blackbird! Keep checking out my site, I have am Antiv Fighter that has a lot of the new Star Wars elements that is almost done! (...) (26 years ago, 23-Feb-99, to lugnet.build)
