  New Pix of Lego Praying Mantis on Brickshelf
 
Hello all, New Pix of the Giant Lego Praying Mantis on Brickshelf , I've been waiting to post this one ! check it out , Lemme know what you all think! The robot contains 6 motors, and is 6 feet long, it took 3 years to build! On display March 24th (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Hey , Thanks , it's always good to here kind words after working for so long to complete the Robot. The Mantis has 6 motors total, 1 for the head , 1 for the neck and two each for the two sets of wigngs assisted by pnuematics!! Legs are mechanical (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Hey thanks, I do need a good digital camera to better document this robot , if you check out "Armature" folder on brick shelf and click "UP" thru the other folders there are some more pixs of the Robot, alas - there are not too many avail right now, (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Thank-you !!!! I designed the legs to be Mechanical, but not motorized. So I animated the Head, Neck, And all 4 wings!! Yeah! When I was building the Robot , I thought only nasa could make it walk , but now, I me thinks it's berry possible!!!...!!! (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)
