Thanks, Kirby!
Truth be told, this creation predates the original Wasp by almost a year,
now. I built this one as my 2nd MOC after getting space to build again in
our basement last year, so my technique wasn't quite as good as I believe it
is now.
If I did it over again, I'd keep the cockpit and redo the back half; I just
haven't had to gumption to tear it all down. Probably because I know how
much headache trying to design the side winglets to have the
forward/downward angle that they have was!(Which is why they're fragile
<G>). Now that I have a decent selection of technic pieces, I know I could
do a better job.
The original Wasp would probably be my favorite of the two if I could have
made it all the same color. I now have the LoM trike set so the canopy has
been replaced with the smoke gray one and it looks much better with just
that change. :)
I'll just have to make a "3k" that takes the best of both or something. :)
