Re: Site update, new MOC The Starship Phalanx

(...) Yeah, my camera really sucks... I'm going to get a better one once I get my tax return and as long as I don't get desperate and break down the Phalanx I'll get some better pictures. I'm also going to LDraw it so it'll be available that way (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Site update, new MOC The Starship Phalanx

(...) Thanks, I actually didn't intend to build such a large ship, but after an hour or so of building the back it became apparent that it was going to be neccesary. I decided then to build it in three pieces so that I could concentrate on one (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Site update, new MOC The Starship Phalanx

The images make it rather hard to tell much about the ship itself, but the overall shape is pretty cool. I tend to do a lot of modular ships myself, as Mark Sandlin would be happy to tell you... I do like the landing gear and the insect-like (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: MOC update: improved roundhouse (SNIR?)

(...) That building technik got even an own name recently: - SNIR-technik for "S"tuds "N"ot "I"n "R"ow. Has that been used in Lugnet before? It was just a fun mention in the German www.1000steine.de forum, but now it's used there more and more and (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

short report since it was a 3 person fest... (any event that has at least one other AFOL than me is a fest, by definition :-) ) This fest happened on Thursday 25 Jan 2001.   Re: Progress on my freighter

(...) Ah...! okay. The Falcon/saucer domes. Oops. Guess I'm a bit tired this morning; I was thinking along entirely different lines, obviously. I like it! the shape and coloring are simple and beuitiful. I also like the way you used the 2 of the 1/4 domes "reversed" compared to the others, I am looking forward to seeing the interior.   Progress on my freighter

I snapped a couple pictures of my current project - a medium freighter - over the weekend to kill off a roll of film. (URL) is still a work in progress. I have about 90% of the interior finished, and around 75% of the exterior done. I have yet to (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
