Wow praise from The Man himself. Thanks Mark. Indeed that is the head from
the Helldog. I was in dire need of a head for this thing, I basically had
the rest figured out when I saw the Helldog (personally one of my favorite
mechs out there). I kept coming back and looking at it over and over and
then it dawned on me that that head would work perfectly, and indeed it does.
And yes, Colin did influence the leg design. At first I was using his hip
design as well but it just wasn't stiff enough. The thing kept falling flat
on its face or arching over backwards. So I went with a design that ended
up being very similar to a design used on the LOM Recon-Mech RP, though I
didn't know it until after I'd built my mech.
The arm cannon design was influenced by the cannons on Colin's Scorpion fighter.
And in case anyone cares, the original inspiration for this mech came from
the Macross II mech the Tomahawk.
Once again thanks for the praise.
