You have got to be the most prolific MOC builder around! I like the • details,
they are what really bring out the piece.

Yep - I guess that the CAD buildings can be built and posted much faster
plastic buildings.

I made a palace about a year ago
using pieces from TONS of generic elements, a yellow castle and 2 eldorado
fortresses, and the end result looked good, but it really would have • looked
nicer if I had made some fancy window treatments (I really only had nice
detail in the front entrance).  Oddly enough, sometimes I will go on for • an
hour or two just working on something very small (Ionic columns one day, • an
equestrian statue another) but when I make large scale models, I am so
concerned with actually getting it done that I ignore the details... • anyway
I have been ranting on about pretty off topic things -- keep up the good
work!

I've noticed that I tend to skip over the details on larger structures as
well.

For instance, on my really big "cathedral"
http://members.home.net/hmltn1/aqua/cathedral.htm ) is primarily impressive
because of its size. It really has few details.  In constrast, my small
"church" ( http://members.home.net/hmltn1/aqua/mcleau.htm ) is loaded with
tons of small details.  On the church, I wasn't so worried about how I was
actually going to build the walls.  I could spend more time on little
details.
