Okay, it's time for another dream.

This is what it was about:
I logged on to Lugnet Cool LEGO site of the week, to see which site had
been picked. A technic site, two guys had built a big black crane thing
out of lego. All of a sudden, I wasn't sitting in front of my computer
anymore, and the guys were in my room, together with their creation.

The two unknown guys showed me their creation, which was not yet
finished. It looked almost like the alternative model for... *tries to
find set number but fails* the big black technic pneumatic truck with
compressor, it had a yellow crane arm, but in black-only and bigger.

I happen to own one of those trucks, and one of the guys say "Hey, can I
borrow this one?" and before I have time to say anything he picks it
apart to get the parts needed to finish his model. The other guy is
looking through all my lego, to find flex-system parts, and takes them all.

Then, they show me how the truck worked. It had an arm, that was powered
by two motors, lots of flex system cables, and a strange machinery. The
arm operated really smooth.

This time, though, I don't remember any technical solutions, (no dreamed
up miracle designs this time :-D) except that the flex-system cables
were used heavily. The were attached to a big Y-shaped "wheel" inside
the model, which rotated around, thus pulling/pushing the cables to move
the arm.

I wish I had a video recorder that could record dreams :-)

(...) Do we need a lugnet.general.dreams section? :) (snip) (...) Sounds like a sort of cam. The problem with cams like that where the outputs are fixed to the cam is if you have more than one output, they bash into each other before you have turned (...)
