This involves the use and modification of other people's creations. If you
take an existing design and modify it and post it to a webpage, what more do
you have to do than list the original author? Would a simple "Thanks to..."
section work, listing those whose work you modified and others who inspired
you? I read a post somewhere where someone suggested that you ask the
original author for permission. Is this the better way to go. Thanks.

| (...) I always ask the original maker first if he accepts the changes and if I'm allowed to post it anywhere on the net. This way I don't get in any problems with people on the net. Greetz, Jay (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

| In the past, if I borrow someone's design, I usually just type a small "thanks to" bit and then link to their webpage. See the Balrogs: Lightfoot page, and the Mecha: ED-209B on my website to see how I did it. ~Mark (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)
