  Winnie The Pooh Sculpture

"Oh Bother" Getting tired of working on mecha and BrikWars vehicles, I decided to shift styles for a little bit and do something a little different. To that end, I have recently completed a sculpture of Winnie The Pooh. It's not nearly as impressive (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general) !

(...) That really is pretty cool, I've never seen anything like it. Great proportioning, I think, not being a Winnie the Pooh enthusiast. Nathan Falslev nfalslev@netscape.net Exploria Main Interface (URL) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) Which is to say: (URL) :) Pretty cool. And a good use of yellow bricks. (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Wow! I like it. Great job! A sculpture idea: A hobbit, from J.R.R. Tolkien's amazing LOTR trilogy, Hobbit and related novels. Now that would just blow me away! ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Wow. Really nice job! It doesn't look like you used very many plates, either. (if any at all, the text on the page doesn't mention any plates.) I'm quite impressed... -Andy Lynch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adrian Drake" <tremor@apk.net> (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) Hehe that's a cute little model! :) On the topic of Winnie the Pooh, I was recently in La Samaritaine in Paris, France, and they had a model of Tigger. Probably 2-3 feet tall. Lots of ORANGE bricks, reasonable number of tan bricks, as well as (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Winnie The Pooh Sculpture

(...) The only plates are a single layer at the very bottom to hold the last row of pieces together, and a couple around the eyes and eyebrows to give them a little more definition. Otherwise, it's all bricks. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) I'm not a huge fan either, but I when inspiration strikes, you have to follow it through or else wonder "what if?" Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Winnie The Pooh Sculpture

(...) It is indeed. I think it captures the chubby innocence of Pooh quite admirably. (...) I had thought of making a Tigger sculpture too, but seeing as my quantity of orange bricks is extremely limited, I wouldn't get very far. Adrian -- (...) (...) Very nice work. I think LEGO Company should start making sets like this. It shows good detail and small eough to be affordable and not too difficult to build. (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)
