Hey Y'all:
It was sad day in my home tonight. I was being menaced by trooping ants for
over a week; why I have no idea -- the place is quite clean and on the second
floor. Yet these ambitious ants persisted and finally discovered my cereal
boxes on a high cupboard shelf, open boxes of cereal mind you. So these ants
ate my Sugar Pops and Apple Jacks -- so of course, this meant WAR!
Consequently, I bought some of that ant bait that they take back to the hive
with them and destroyed their little anty butts. Tonight they are all gone.
I think I managed to destroy the whole hive.
"Yes, my little friend, take this delicious treat back with you to share with
the others...they will love you for it, especially the Queen...hehehe...!"
=(
About three days ago, I was about to open the gate to my driveway and
discovered this enormous dragonfly resting there. This thing was about 10"
across the wings -- huge!!! From the first moment, it scared me out of my
wits and before I knew what I was doing I had leapt backward about five feet
in fear. Even after I discovered at closer inspection what it was, I wouldn't
touch it -- I used a small stick to annoy it enough for it to fly off.
So tonight to appease the great insect Gods, and they are legion, I decided it
was time to make another insect Lego model. A terrible flattened scan of it
can be viewed here:

Points of interest might be that the eyes are those trans dark green Insectoid
helmets, the legs are those hinged claws from the Robo-Raptor, and the tail is
a telescoping fireman's ladder element.
Here's hoping that providing this Lego insect Idol an honored place in my home
will stave off the trooping ants...otherwise it'll just be bad juju between
them and myself all over again.
