Yeah, I guess it's not that big, but I when I was building it I thought it was
quite long. Anyways, did it help any in those oh-so-frequent mini-fig-terrorist
situations? ;-)

Would I lie on such a thing? It is your best aerospace model! I built mine
exactly to your specs only my model had a red windscreen and I didn't have any
click-hinges back then so the cockpit was a real tough pecker! And it's not
that huge (to my standards LOL).
