I just discovered a very nice storage case that does excellent duty
for all my Lego Technics parts.

It's the Popular Mechanics Lid-Storage Organizer (PM58261).

It's about the size of a thick laptop computer, approx. 15" X 12" X 3.5",
has an integrated carrying handle and is divided into two main sections:

The interior storage can be subdivided into up to eighteen 2.5" X 2.5" bins
- each 2" deep - with 2 more bins near the latches that are about 5" X 3",
though these are irregularly shaped.

The cover is, itself, another storage case providing up to 18 bins, the
smallest is 2" X 1.75" with the size of those on the outer edge increasing
to 3" in width.  Again, there are two larger irregular-sized bins near the
latches.

The lid storage can be opened separately from the main section.  The bin
dividers are adjustable and lock firmly into the bottom and, when closed,
the lid -- no parts migrating from bin to bin.

One of the best things is that each of the bins has a curved bottom which
makes removing small parts so much easier than those with right-angled
bottoms.

The main case is opaque; the lid case is almost transparent.  The whole
thing is made of polyethelene.

I just picked up two at Wal-Mart for about $8.00 each.

I'm sorry if this sounds like an advertisement (it's not).  I just thought
the group might like to hear about this.
