NOTE:  Forsenic analysis from Sproat Lego Labs has revealed
that the buildings
on this Web site are not Lego models, but are in fact ACTUAL
BUILDINGS which
were stolen and reduced in size to give the appearance of
Lego models.  This
has been confirmed by the Transamerica Corporation, who have
just revealed
that their prized San Francisco building has been missing
since last Tuesday.

Thanks.  That's quite a complement.  My goal is not to model the buildings
in every detail (as in the number of windows on each side, actual number of
floors, etc..) but to get the overall look of the building and the right
proportions.  For example, with the Empire State Building, one feature that
really stands out to me is that the windows make vertical columns.  So I
decided not to separate each row of windows, I just made vertical strips of
windows.  Where as with the Sears Tower, the windows are very definite
between floors, so I made a blank row of between each window row.

- Transamerica Pyramid:
This is an amazing model.  I really appreciate the close-up
views, and how you
documented the model's design.  The minifig's-view shots are
great!  :-,  Good
stuff.

- Sears Tower

Again, an amazing model.

In a related news story, the Sears Tower was the target of a strange,
extraterrestrial visitor, apparently enamored with the
broadcast antenna:

:)  Yeah, I knew that was a bit strange, but it was a good shot of the
building in other ways so I included it.  I'm always noticing the stuff that
I left setting around in the background when I'm putting the pics up on the
web.  You can see empty glasses, soda cans, kids feet, all sorts of things
in these pictures if you look closely!  (Actually, I think I cropped the
feet out of the picture :)
