Gripe about arches

This is probably not the first time its been mentioned, but I have a complaint
about the rounded arches LEGO makes. Has anyone else noticed that the arches
with the side plate don't all play well together? The two smaller sizes can
be used together in such a way that they form a solid arched form, one arch
inserted within the other and connected at the side plate with another plate -
- if you tried it you know what I mean, although my description is a little
sketchy. My complaint has to do with the largest arches not behaving in the
same way, the rounded interior form does not match that of the arch the next
size down.
Boy, do I wish for a rounded arch to match these arches all up one inside the
other. That's my proposed element -- the one that would reconcile the
difference between the others so that they could all be used together...
