Regarding those elusive blue air tanks,

I've sent a distress signal to Emmanuel of DYA Shopping to see if a
special buy could be arranged. Thanks to Mario Ferrari who provided the
catalog number. Truly an international effort.

Let's hope Emmanuel  can pull it off.

Before I'd ever seen a blue air tank, I had fair success in 1994 with CO2 cartridges, epoxy, and the rigid pneumatic tubing. Just another way of doing things if you don't mind your work having some non-LEGO bits in them; easily paralleled, would (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Lego Shop-at-Home still has the #8250 Search Sub for $25 (previously $50). The set includes one blue air tank, a large pump, and other pneumatic parts. It also includes 9 or 10 16-stud beams and other useful Technic parts. A good Technic value at 7 (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)
