I count four frames there, exactly the number one would have if one had
each of
the 3 sets that featured the window:
1x6 Window Frame, Shutter Connects, 5H
Qty Color Set U.S. Set Name Year Theme
--- ----- ---- --------------------------- ---- --------------
1 Blue 6375 Gas Station 1980 LEGOLAND Town
1 Blue 6970 Beta-1 Command Base 1980 LEGOLAND Space
2 Blue 6971 Inter-Galactic Command Base 1984 LEGOLAND Space
But unfortunately, the 6375 frame had a clear pane to it, so it'd be a
better
bet that 2 copies of 6971 would be involved in one's ability to
reconstruct
the set shown.
Of a little more concern (I'd think) would be the seven (7!) 4x6 sloping
cockpit windows in the two-page diorama, which came one-at-a-time:
4x6 Sloping Window, Hinge Connect, 5F,2H
Qty Color Set U.S. Set Name Year Theme
--- ------------ ---- ----------------------- ---- --------------
1 Trans-Yellow 6928 Uranium Search Vehicle 1984 LEGOLAND Space
1 Trans-Yellow 6882 Walking Astro Grappler 1985 LEGOLAND Space
1 Trans-Yellow 6872 Lunar Patrol Craft 1986 LEGOLAND Space
1 Trans-Yellow 6892 Modular Space Transport 1986 LEGOLAND Space
1 Trans-Yellow 6926 Mobile Recovery Vehicle 1986 LEGOLAND Space
1 Trans-Yellow 6985 Cosmic Fleet Voyager 1986 LEGOLAND Space
1 Trans-Yellow 6894 Invader 1987 Blacktron
1 Trans-Yellow 6941 Battrax 1987 Blacktron
1 Trans-Yellow 6954 Renegade 1987 Blacktron
At the least, most of these sets would have been available concurrently
with
the 250 Idea Book. Oh, to have been an AFOL with DDI (decent disposable
income)
back then... <sigh>
Check out pp44-45, which requires at least two 6067 Guarded Inn sets.
Wonder how expensive it would be to start from scratch and accumulate
the elements for THAT at this point? <shudder>

| Yes, those are the 1x6x5 large windows. These are pretty scarce, since they are available in so few sets. They can also be found in an old Dacta Hospital set (there they are black), and in the old Schoolroom Homemaker set (there they are yellow). A (...) (26 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)
