REBRICK BUILDING COMPETITION

We are happy to announce the very first ReBrick Building Challenge starting today at 15 pm CET! We invite our Rebrick users to participate in a building competition, where we challenge you to build a creation with an octopus incorporated in the model (Squids are welcome too). The winner will be the creation with the highest number of likes. For more information please read the bullet points with Rules in short as well as the Official Rules and Regulations.

The Grand Prize for this challenge is the very exclusive LEGO® Inside Tour Set 2012 (4000012). For the full list of prizes please see the Official Rules and Regulations.

RULES IN SHORT:

•The building contest is open to all users 16 years and older holding a ReBrick account. The voting process is open to all users holding a Rebrick account.

•To submit an entry: Upload a photo on any external website (we do not host images on ReBrick) and add a link to the photo in the special themed category: “Building Challenge” on ReBrick.

•Entries must incorporate an Octopus (either you build it or incorporate a LEGO® octopus or squid part).

•All entrants must submit a photo with the entry placed on a 32x32 studs baseplate (Large baseplate: 10’’ (25cm) x 10’’ (25cm)). Smaller builds will be accepted, but any build exceeding this size or containing elements which fall over the base plate will be disqualified.

•This contest begins June 18th 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Central European Time (CET). Entries submitted after July 9th 2012 at 2:59 P.M. CET will not be accepted into the contest.

•All users with a ReBrick account can vote. The voting will begin June 18th 2012 at 3:00 P.M. CET and end July 16th 2012 at 2:59 P.M. CET.

•The winners of the challenge will be the top three entries with most likes. The official announcement of the winners will be on July 17th 2012. Entries must be a new MOC (never posted anywhere previously) created specifically for this contest.

•Entries must be created using only LEGO® bricks and pieces. Digital entries are not allowed. No cutting, sculpting, painting or modifying parts. Official LEGO stickers are allowed. Only cut flex tube will be permitted.

•Entries are to consist of no more than one (1) bookmark, however users can include a link back to a folder on an external site displaying more images of the build.

•No Photoshopped images or images containing the LEGO® logo will be permitted.

•All entries and entrants must follow the ReBrick House Rules.

•We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules.

•Prizes:

Grand prize: One (1) winner will receive the latest LEGO® Inside Tour set (4000012) chosen randomly from the small stock. The box will be signed by the set designer Melody Caddick.

2nd prize: One (1) runner up will receive a LEGO® Creator Fire Brigade (10197) signed by the designer Jamie Berard.

3rd prize: One (1) second runner up will receive a Life of George set (21200) - LEGO® Bricks for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad/ Android devices. Plus an extra George figurine signed by the designer Cynthia Bodin.

OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

The ReBrick Building Challenge (“the Challenge”) begins at June 18th 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Central European Time (CET) and runs until July 9th 2012 at 2:59 P.M. CET. Voting runs from June 18th 2012 at 3:00 P.M. CET and end July 16th 2012 at 2:59 P.M. CET.

1. WHO CAN ENTER:

Entrants must be 16 years of age or older at the time of registration in the building Challenge. All users holding a ReBrick account can vote. Employees, officers and directors of LEGO® System A/S, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling or spouse) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Challenge. By entering the Challenge, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless LEGO System A/S, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, representatives, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Releasees”), from any and all liability, claims, losses, injuries, demands, damages, actions, and/or causes of actions whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Challenge or any portion thereof, or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession of prizes.

The Official Rules are final and binding in all respects. Void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.


2. HOW TO ENTER:

No purchase necessary to participate. LIMIT: Every person can submit more entries to the building challenge, but only one (1) entry per person will be considered when the final winners are selected.

The winner is the creation with the highest number of likes on ReBrick. The runner up is the creation that has the second highest number of likes. The second runner up is the creation that has the third highest number of likes.

To submit an entry into the challenge, participants must upload a photo or video of their MOC to any external website or upload application/ service. Once uploaded, entrants must proceed to ReBrick to submit a link to the MOC. They will be asked to enter their existing LEGO Id and password, or register a new LEGO Id after accepting the Terms of Service. Once registered, participants will be able to submit a “bookmark” of the creation file entry in the Building Challenge category to be entered into the contest. (See “Creation Entry Details” below).

Entry Details: Once registered, entrants can submit entries into the Challenge by creating and uploading (external site) their own LEGO® model using pieces from the LEGO® collection. The entry must be the entrant’s own work. Submit the link to the uploaded image to the special themed category: Building Challenge on ReBrick.

Once you submit your link, you will be officially entered into the challenge. Challenge entries cannot be revised or altered once submitted. Once submitted, all submitted components become the property of the challenge entities and will not be returned. Should you experience any difficulties with any aspect of the ReBrick Building Challenge, please send an enquiry to Customer Service and your request will be answered.

Information regarding Submitted Files:

The ReBrick Building Challenge Entities shall have the right to disqualify any entries that they deem to be obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, lewd, derogatory, inappropriate, or otherwise not in good taste, as determined by the ReBrick Building Challenge Entities in their sole discretion. Entries that are uploaded on and/or links to websites that violates ReBrick House Rules will be eliminated from the contest.

LICENSE: Entrant grants ReBrick Building Challenge Entities and their designees the right, but not the obligation to edit, remove, modify, publish, license, print, transmit, display or otherwise use the creation and all accompanying personally identifiable information entrant submits (collectively, the “Submission”), via all forms of media now known or hereafter devised (including on http://www. ReBrick.lego.com), worldwide, in perpetuity, without notice to you and without compensation.

WARRANTY: Entrant represents and warrants that (i) entrant’s Submission was taken by entrant, (ii) the Submission is original to entrant and does not infringe upon or otherwise violate any right of any third party, and (iii) entrant has all rights necessary to submit the Submission, including all necessary authorizations and permissions from any persons included in the Submission, (iv) that the Submission will not include unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or other material that would violate the law; advertising for third party products or services.

All Submissions may be posted on the publicly accessible ReBrick Building Challenge Web site during and following the building challenge. The ReBrick Challenge winners will be posted on the ReBrick Building Challenge web site together with their model. The ReBrick Building Challenge are not responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, garbled or misdirected entries, all of which are void.


3. EVALUATION OF ENTRIES:

Building Challenge voting will begin at June 18th 2012 at 3:00 P.M. CET and end July 16th 2012 at 2:59 P.M. CET. Note: entries must be created using only pieces from the LEGO collection.

The winner will be determined by how many “likes” the creation receives on ReBrick. The one model that scores the highest cumulative scores will win. In total three (3) winners will be selected by the highest number of likes from users holding a ReBrick account.

Any form of cheating will result in a banning of user profile from ReBrick.

4. PRIZE AWARDING:

Limit one (1) prize per household.

Prizes will only be awarded upon potential winners’ verification and final approval by Building Challenge Entities. No substitution, transfer of any prize or cash alternative permitted, except by the ReBrick Building Challenge. Entities who reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, if any prize, or any portion of any prize, becomes unavailable. Potential winning ReBrick Building Challenge entrants will receive notification that he/she has won via e-mail and will have 7 days from receipt of winning notification to confirm that the notification has been received. After confirming notification receipt and upon verification, the potential winners will be sent their prize within 6 to 8 weeks. If the potential winning entrant of any ReBrick Building Challenge Prize cannot be contacted; is ineligible; fails to claim the prize; if the Prize Notification is returned undeliverable; or if the potential winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these Official Rules, he/she will forfeit that prize and the prize will be awarded to the runner up. The sponsor and its affiliates are not responsible for lost or misdirected prize notification to potential winners. Each winner grants Sponsor the right to use and publish winner’s name to use winner’s name and likeness solely for advertising and promotional and commercial purposes for this Challenge, without notice or further compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering the ReBrick Building Challenge, you agree to all of the terms and conditions of the LEGO Privacy Policy. All information collected will be treated in a manner consistent with Sponsor’s privacy policy. In the event of dispute, an entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized holder of the e-mail account at the time the entry was made. All decisions of the judges shall be binding and final.

There will be a total of three (3) prizes awarded;

Please note: The box is neutral and will note have the special group image on the back of the box that makes the Inside Tour Guests boxes unique from every other Inside Tour box.

5. GENERAL RULES:

All federal, state, local and provincial laws and regulations apply. The Challenge is not random. All prizes will be awarded and winners notified by mail. Many users will enter, but few will win. Winners may make no substitution/ transfer of prizes. All federal, state, and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. LEGO System A/S is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible or unreadable entries. The winner consents to use of name/likeness/entry material in any manner for advertising/trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. By participating, entrants (and if considered a minor in the state in which he/she resides their parent and/or legal guardian) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. By accepting prize, winners agree to hold Sponsors harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of administration of this building challenge, participation in this building challenge and/or use of any prize or portion thereof. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize.

6. DISQUALIFICATION:

Releasees are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, for incorrect or inaccurate entry information howsoever caused or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Entrants found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Challenge, as solely determined by the ReBrick team, will be disqualified. If disqualified for any of the above abuses, LEGO System A/S reserves the right to terminate entrant’s eligibility to participate in the building challenge. In the event this building challenge is compromised by virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond the control of LEGO System A/S which corrupt, or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the building challenge, LEGO System A/S reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the building challenge. In no event will more prizes be awarded than those listed in Rules #4.

7. TAX INFORMATION:

All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.
