Hi all,
here
http://news.lugnet.com/announce/moc/?n=4322
you can see an idea to make a modular LUDO for 2+ players. I managed to build it
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=351430
(currently for up to 12 players - orange 2x2 tile (NEW) is very hard to get.) I
managed to get 13 different 2x2 tiles and 2x2x2 cones in same colors (light and
dark bluish grey are excluded as they are part of a playing area).
An idea is: is it possible to make an electronic die to go with this board game
(or any other board game, of course)? It has to be made out of LEGO elements
only.
See
<<http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/miskox/Mindstorms-die/kocka-die.jpg>>
I don't have mindstorms so I cannot try this at all that is why I am asking you
Mindstorms freaks.
Parts used in the image above are: 4767 and 4773. Of course 6035 can be used (or
anything else, including Power Functions...).
Is this even possible? Does LEGO provide all the elements needed (button) ? It
can be Mindstorms RCS, NXT, Power functions...whatever...as long as it is LEGO!
How should it work?
It should have a button. When it is pressed and released only appropriate lights
should be turned on. See the picture.
Only four (4) contacts are necessary for these seven (7) lights. Maybe the
program should generate a random number. If
it cannot generate numbers then it should have an infinite loop from 1 to 6 (and
then again, and again...).
Thanks,
Saso
P.S.: How can I insert an image? I read
http://www.lugnet.com/publish/ftx/guide/images
and added the URL between << and >> but it just does not work...

| (...) I'm sure it is possible to make an electronic die out of either the RCX or NXT, but a much simpler solution is to go low-tech and simply buy some of (URL) these>. There are a couple other standard six-sided dice (red with white dotes, white (...) (16 years ago, 9-Feb-09, to lugnet.build, FTX)
