Here are some pictures of my Class 47 diesel engine, some wagons and trackside features: Class 47 diesel engine in Intercity livery: (URL) Quite a few wagons! Bogie Bolster 'D' with logs (the British 8mm scale version of set 10013!): (URL) Clay (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: butt-to-butt connections

(...) I’m curious about the “studs-out” orientation as well. Either up-down or left-right (front-back). Each has their own particular spatial geometry, when talking about Lego brick. It would be help if you did something like the following (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

I've been on vacation lately and took my xpods with me the results are on brickshelf: transformers made with 2 xpods: (2 URLs) and some dino's made from the yellow one - my absolute favorite! (2 URLs) cheers! (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: butt-to-butt connections

(...) What do you mean by 'on top'? Are these butt-to-butt bricks supposed to form a flat surface, or upright walls with the studs facing out left and right, or a vertical wall with studs up and down? Can you handle sticking-out bits or studs on one (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Three Trunk Tree and Tall Thin Tree

Here's a three-trunk tree that I built for my railway layout: (URL) I used 2L black technic liftarms to attach more flex tubes to the central one. The white blobs underneath are geese! Also a tall thin tree next to an office block: (URL) tree uses a (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc) !!

  Re: butt-to-butt connections

(...) WHOOSH... this lower half just flew over my head. I'm not very clear on exactly what you want here. But I followed your question. Have you tried log (both 1 x 2 and 1 x 4) bricks with 2L technic rods shoved up and attached to each other (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: butt-to-butt connections

(...) In how large or small a space are you hoping to accomplish this reversal? I have an idea, but it might not fit in the scale you're envisioning. Dave! (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  butt-to-butt connections

I'm soliciting solutions to a not-unfamiliar SNOT-construction quandry: What's the best way to attach brown bricks butt-end to butt-end (the ends opposite the studs) securely, using only brown pieces that are readily available (i.e. available in (...)   Re: Custom Tread Links

That's some nice work. I have been looking for some way to make custom garage door Your design has inspired me to make some variations: Design 1: (URL) of your design base on 3L lift arm and 3L stud-less beam. The chain is strong but the large plate (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Custom Tread Links

"David Eaton" <deaton@intdata.com> wrote in message news:IBtK0H.6EA@lugnet.com... (...) They seem much less likely to pop off if you can get them to snap on properly. And I really mean snap on, with an audible snapping sound. I've had 1x3 plates (...) (21 years ago, 12-Feb-05, to lugnet.build)
