  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) Oh wow... Great model, and great photography! I'm totally amazed at people who can build in Technic, and it's even more impressive that you only used parts from 8436! Looks like an official model. Instructions? :) -Bryan (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) You really have quite a wide range of talent. Not only do you do good sports cars, but you have done robots, boats, people, trucks- all out of Lego kits. Maybe now you can start building construction vehicles. I assume you did not use a winch (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I personally advocate 1 stud to the foot, which is about 1:38. If the stud size is exactly 8mm then it's 1:38.1. If a stud size is 5/16" then it's 1:38.4. There's little difference between the two, unless you build something 14630 plates high (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I agree with previous posts that the variability of minifigs, not to mention their dispropotion nature means that a number of scales are possible. However, for me personally Minifig scale is not really 40:1. I have been doing a lot of work (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Statues

Hello! After I already came up with "Armor's Arrow Hitting its Target": (URL) me, I'm a link!>>, I now was inspired by some talk on Classic-Castle.com to modify these statues like this: (URL) me, I'm a link!>> It's Diana (or Artemis), the goddess of (...)   Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

I'm pretty sure that soon you'll find a black, unmarked vehicle at your doorstep, from where two men in suits will emerge to ask you to join the Lego development group. Failure to comply will result in a direct assasination, since we all know (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) Ughh... you're killing me here... I just got 8436 for Christmas... I want to build this... I need instructions... argh... I don't have your skills... I just want to recreate yours... Allow me to vent... When I was a kid the only frustrating (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) (snip) (...) Wow! Superb model, and great presentation, your photography technique is very good. of course the most impressive bit is that you did it all with 8436. Wouldn't it be great if LEGO started making fan created alternate model (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) That is really, really good - it has the essence/spirit of the real thing. It makes me want to break open the 8436 I have and build your model. Jennifer (21 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  MOC 8436: Cranetruck

Being inspired by the 4100 cranetruck, I decided to build another one a bit more challenging. So I transformed the 8436 truck into another cranetruck: (URL) It has many functions like pneumatic boom and stands, rotating cabin and ofcourse steering. (...)
