Re: MOCs from ParLUGment Secret Santa project, 2004

Hi Larry (...) Well, it kept a group of 20-odd AFOLs suffering from post-holiday-goodies-potluck sugar buzz entertained and involved for about an hour, so I guess that counts... ;) (...) Glad you liked it - I'm always mildly worried I'll over-edit (...) (21 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.org, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

  Re: Putting downt the Riot

(...) Thanks Adrian, I was going to call the bridge "drunken weekend study", but didn't want to foul the name of Lugnet's premiere bridge-master. (...) -Keith (21 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

MOCs from ParLUGment Secret Santa project, 2004

Hello to one and all I promised the members of ParLUGment I'd post something about the Secret Santa project that we undertook this year. Since Christmas day is approaching like an oncoming express train, I suppose I'd better get around to it. :) (...)   Re: Any tips for building tall towers?

(...) ... (...) ... While not exactly what Patrick describes, I've built several towers mostly from 2x4 bricks, with an outer diameter of 8x8 and a 4x4 opening in the center. My application was to support half scale train signs about six or so feet (...) (21 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: Another big house of my little town

(...) Andreas, Our house had a huge stack of old National Geographics when we moved in, and I was leafing through one from the 1960's which mentioned the World's Fair in Belgium, and showed a street scene much like your house, with four and five (...) (...) SNIP (...) Andreas, This building is spectacular! I really enjoy seeing these detailed scenes, where builders include details of the streets, plazas, etc. The only problem is that each one I see inspires me to build my next town MOC at a (...) (21 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Hi Jonathan, (...) No, here you are wrong. It is the old dark grey color. May be, it was a little to much sun, when I took these photos. But I use the new color as well. For me, that is no problem. Andreas Böker (abhf) (21 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) I did enjoy it, you captured the ornate details on the facade well. Pity LEGO doesn't make terracotta roof tiles, the red looks too new, but what can we do :^) Plus LEGO has enough colours already (or so I'm told). I would have gone for a (...)
